In
this movie, the observer is thrown into the close future. The American
Government tried to destroy every ever so little piece of fun in their country.
Nobody is considered a unique individual anymore, but only the "whole"
of America is taken seriously. "All men are not created equal. It is the
purpose of the Government to make them so." That is the plot and very much
the presence. However, there is one young man, Harrison Bergeron, who is
obviously smarter than other people and he finds out what is missing in their
lives. He decides that something has to be done in order to make the others
aware of this fact. He starts his mission by breaking into a television channel
and wants to teach people how to have fun.
