The Virgin Suicides

The dreamy und unreal life of the family Lisbon is interrupted in 1970, when their youngest daughter commits suicide. The parents are afraid, as they are unable to find out what might have caused this tragedy. They can not see what they have done wrong and blame the contact to the neighborhood boys for this so-called "accident". In order to protect the remaining four beautiful daughters, they are forbidden to go out and date. This causes them to be thrown into a cloud of depression which breeds an unhealthy obsession with death. The movie is narrated by a group of neighborhood boys who try to come to terms with what they have witnessed...
